No summer break is perfect without a mandatory visit to Southside’s very own Ocean Park. This summer, the annual Summer Splash is back with a retro touch and new changes on parking and ticketing.
Summer Splash highlights
As Ocean Park steps into its 40th anniversary, the park is celebrating with a retro theme to take guests on a trip to revisit their childhood summertime memories.
On top of the standard rides and activities, Ocean Park has commissioned internationally acclaimed sculptor Ray Villafane to create the largest sand sculpture in Hong Kong. The Wet & Wild Sand Party has turned Applause Pavilion into a summer beach with water-spraying fun going strong in the Wild Foam Zone, Mega Gush and Super Spray Tunnel.
If all this seemed regular enough, thousands of rubber ducks have also appeared, in celebration of the park’s collaboration with Hong Kong’s toy success story, LT Duck.
Running from July 1 until August 27, admission starts at $219 for children aged 3-11 and $438 for adults.
New parking system
To better cope with the summer crowd, the park has just launched an online pre-booking parking service. Bookings are available up to 90 days in advance till at least 1 day prior to the visit. Finally, we don’t have to drive round and round the parking lot to secure a spot.
Ocean FasTrack pass
To save even more time and get the most out of your visit, it might be worth investing in the new Ocean FasTrack pass. With the $250 pass, you can choose 10 priority access to your favourite rides and with shorter queues. Note that the pass does not include admission to the park.
Ocean FasTrack passes are now available online. They can also be found at the Ticketing Office at the Ocean Park Entrance, Ricky’s Shack, The Lodge and Ocean Paradise.
