After a few delays, the new, larger Picada is now open. To celebrate its opening, Picada is hosting a month of special shows and events this July. Whether you’re up for a fun night of dancing or a big day out with your kids – there’s something for everyone.
The pan-Latin restaurant has moved to LKF29 on Wyndham Street, with a cosy terrace overlooking the nightlife below. Acclaimed Peruvian chef Abel Ortiz Alvarez, formerly of Chicha and Mayta, heads up the new kitchen team and brings together a selection of iconic favourites: think Peruvian ceviche, Argentinian steak, Colombian arepas, Venezuelan empanadas, Mexican tacos and more. After all, a “picada” is a type of sharing platter.
Open for lunch, brunch and dinner. After dinner Picada opens up its polished oak dance floor to regular live music, dance performances, and guest DJs. If you’re not much of a mover, head upstairs to the terrace lounge on the third floor. During the opening month, there are also freeflow taco Tuesdays, Friday fiestas with live percussion by Poncho & Erick Martinez, Baila Conmigo saturdays with Dj SalsaGodfather, and many more. It’s safe to say that Picada’s July schedule is packed full of vibrant music and endless fun.
A special this July, every Sunday (16, 23, 30/7), Picada is hosting a series of Circus Brunch and shows from Argentinian family Circus – Cirqueros Circus. Get ready to be blown away by their awesome tricks, balloon animals and entertainment for the whole family.
The circus brunch runs from 11am – 3pm. Free for children under 3. Tickets for children (3 and up) at $98 and adult tickets at $298 are available here: etickets.hk/project/picada/familybrunch. Make it an even better day off with 2 hours of Freeflow sparking cava, wine and beer at $198.
