This July, Habour City is teaming up with Hong Kong Disneyland to introduce the month-long “Super Hero Summer” Marvel exhibition. Time to channel your inner superhero!
From today to 30 July, a giant 3D pop-up comic installation with six comic strips and a 1:1 Iron Man figure will be on display at the Ocean Terminal forecourt. Various workshops and events are also available for signup alongside the exhibition.
The giant comic installation is transformed from an original comic created by the Marvel team and Hong Kong talents. Hong Kong artist Justice Wong and Hong Kong-based writer Howard Wong and the team spent two months developing the story and crafting the comics. Set in Hong Kong, the story debuts a new armored hero who joins Iron Man and other superheroes in a quest to stop the villains from taking a secret treasure hidden in Hong Kong.
Following the success of the Iron Man Experience, Hong Kong Disneyland is also holding a special event this Summer – the “Marvel Super Hero Summer”. Children and adults are all welcomed to join forces with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor and many other heroes on a mission at Hong Kong Disneyland.
Exhibition aside, various workshops and activities take place daily on G/F, Ocean Terminal, Harbour City. Children can try to pick up Thor’s hammer, play with Iron Man and take photos with 1:1 figures of Captain America and Doctor Strange. Face painting workshops are available every weekend from 2-6pm. Get ready for a head-to-toe superhero makeover.
Online and on-site registration are available. To register online, email basic information of your child’s name, age, parent’s name, contact number and preferred date and time to firstname.lastname@example.org. Successful applications will be notified individually and are required to donate HK $60.
